The smelting and converter dusts, containing 1-8% of copper, 15-25% of zinc, 15-25% of lead, 5-12% of arsenic, are produced in the process of sulfide copper concentrates recycling. The main phases are PbSO₄, ZnO, ZnSO₄, CuO, CuSO₄, CuFeS₂, As₂O₃, ZnO*Fe₂O₃. Currently, they are processed in zinc industry by means of Waelz process. The extraction of metals from dust is low (65-71%). It is necessary to develop a technology for the complex extraction of metals with the associated removal of arsenic for utilization.
