Researchers of OFIC UB RAS regularly conduct metagenomic sequencing of total DNA samples toanalyze microbial of pro- and eukaryotic communities in natural lakes and rivers including extreme habitats. However, metagenomic DNA sequencing (shotgun) on platform BGI (https://en.genomics.cn/en-sequencplatform.html) seems to be more relevant for in-depth taxonomic and functional analysis of the communities, at the same time reducing cost of the procedure. That is why we are searching for collaboration a partner from the Chinese People's Republic with experience and facility of preparing DNA libraries and shotgun metagenomic sequencing on platform BGI. At the same time, complex expeditions ad field research are available on the territory of China and Russia for collection of water samples and their subsequent analysis.
