The mining and metal-working industry involves the formation of a great amount of wastes containing valuable rare metals. Waste processing calls for preliminary crushing. Crushing is an inefficient process accompanied with a rapid wear of the crushing equipment. The proposed development is intended for elimination the existing crushing technology limitations.

Novelty of the development comprises the hard alloy crushing, when material is heated up to a temperature higher than the solidus point of a given material, whereas hardness and durability of the material is reduced to rather small values. The crushing technology is simple and can be realized using standard equipment.
