Entomopathogenic nematode is a safe and effective bioinsecticide, especially for the control of soil habitat and plant boring insect pests. The research and development of this type of nematodes have been conducted in the Institute of Zoology, Guangdong Academy of Sciences, since last 80’s, and they are used for the successful control of various economically important pests (such as grubs,striped flea beetlePhyllotretastriolataand chive gnats Bradysiaodoriphaga etc.) in agriculture, forestry and health.The research output won the first prize of science and technology in Guangdong (2014). Now the mass production technology in solid and liquid culture systems is well established. The cost of the nematode products is reasonable and the benefit is superior to the current chemical insecticides. Joint cooperation and investment are appreciated.
